Tax Alert: National Budget Statement Synopsis 2023 /2024

The Cabinet Secretary (CS) for The National Treasury and Economic Planning presented his Budget Statement for the financial year 2023/2024 on the 15 June 2023.
The Statement by the CS included a number of taxation measures which we have summarised in this alert to the extent that they differed from the Finance Bill, 2023. We have also considered and included recommendations made by the National Assembly Departmental Committee on Finance & National Planning.
