Work experience at PKF in Eastern Africa is very different from what you might expect. There's no photocopying or coffee-making in sight.
Instead, it gives you a proper idea of what the world of accountancy is really like.
What you get is a week-long programme that covers all different topics. You get to find out about the kind of companies that PKF in Eastern Africa works with, take part in practical exercises, learn CV writing skills and much more. The idea is to introduce you to accountancy and give you some pointers on job seeking.
By the end of the week, you should have a much better idea about your future career choices. You can then start thinking seriously about whether accountancy might be for you, and whether you might apply for one of PKF in Eastern Africa's schemes when the time comes.
Alternatively, here at PKF in Eastern Africa we also offer three to six month internships.

A work experience placement with PKF has the potential to open doors for you onto a whole fulfilling career. If you have a genuine interest in the accounting profession, and you're in your penultimate year of school, then this could be your opportunity.
In the course of a one-week programme, you'll get an introduction to the world of accountancy and the many different kinds of work that take place in the PKF firm. We look for students who show a commitment to joining PKF's Graduate Scheme once they graduate from university.
Our work experience programme takes place during school holidays - we suggest you apply early as the places get filled very quickly. Please keep an eye on our website for information on specific scheme dates and locations and when we are accepting applications.
We require you to be in your penultimate year of university and on track to receive an upper second class honours in any subject as well ‘O’ Levels at Grade C and above (or equivalent). However we only accept a candidate's top three A-levels and we do not accept General Studies.
Stage 1: Fill out your application form online
This is your chance to tell us about your academic achievements and make a positive first impression, so take your time. The form includes a few questions on which you will be assessed. - Go to Application Form
Stage 2: Aptitude Test
If your application makes it through the first stage, we will invite you to sit an aptitude test You must complete the test in a single sitting and you will be timed, so ensure you have no interruptions on the day of the test.
Stage 3: First round interview
If you pass the aptitude test you may then be contacted for a first round interview. The face-to-face meeting will include questions covering different skills and behaviours.
Stage 4: Second Round Interview
Candidates who pass the first round interview may then be invited to a second round interview with the department Manager and or Partner. Further interviews may be conducted and you shall be notified of the same.
