About the position

PKF Consulting (K) Limited seeks to recruit experienced, results - driven and highly motivated individuals to fill the positions of Human Resource Associates. Reporting to a Senior Associate, the Associates will be responsible for:

1. Business development

a) Develop and participate in development of technically strong and quality Proposals for Human Resources services such as recruitment and training, strategic plans, job evaluation, salary surveys, Organisation design, change management, workload analysis among others.
b) Target and pursue business opportunities within the firm from existing clients.
c) Carry out various marketing activities including seminars, Proposals and articles in consultation with the consulting Director.

2. Technical Competencies

a) Recruitment and Training

i) Carry out the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and preparation of Reports for clients.
ii) Assist in developing training programs and materials clients and internal trainings.
iii) Stay up – to – date with emerging trends on new approaches to recruitment.


b) Human Resource Policies and Procedures

i) Assist in developing and reviewing Human resource policies and procedures for clients and making requisite recommendations.

c) Compliance with Employment Act

i) Support clients in the review of their Contracts and operations against the Employment Act to ensure compliance.
ii) Provide advisory to client on matters pertaining to Employment Act and Labour Laws.
iii) Design a compliance framework for the clients.

d) Organisation Design and Job Evaluation

i) Participate in the Job Evaluation process and make recommendations
ii) Preparation of Job Evaluation Reports.

e) Salary Survey

i) Support in Designing of data collection tools.
ii) Assist in Identification of comparator Organisations.
iii) Support in data collection and analysis.

3. Risk Management

a) Adhere to firm’s risk management policies on client acceptance and risk assessments prior to accepting clients.
b) Ensuring that all hold harmless letters and other contractual letters for each assignment are in the respective files before commencement of each assignment.

4. General

a) Ensuring all scheduled consultancy assignments commence and finish per the work plan and inform the consulting Director periodically on the progress and reasons for delay, if any.
b) Carrying out field visits, guide and supervise staff and review assignments work on field visits to ensure that all assignments are carried out in accordance with the plan and to revise the plan where necessary.
c) Ensuring proper Project management and control on all assignments.
d) Ensuring the assignment deliverables are complete in all material aspects prior to submission to the consulting Director for review.
e) Preparing the Report and discuss preliminary issues with the client prior to consulting Directors review.
f) Any other responsibilities as may be assigned by the consultancy Director in relation to consultancy assignments.

5. Key Result Areas

a) Submission of accurate, timely and relevant Reports.
b) Effective execution of assigned Projects.
c) Effective compliance with PKF branding standards in work outputs.
d) Successful adherence to ethical practices in client relations.
e) Successful participation in Business Development and Marketing initiatives.

6. Academic / Professional Qualifications

a) Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource, Commerce, Business Management or related field from a recognised University.
b) Certified Human Resource Professional qualification required.
c) Demonstrated two (2) years of experience in Human Resource Consulting.
