Project audit involves independent verification of whether donor funds are applied for the intended purposes and that the use of such funds is efficient, transparent and in accordance with the laid down principles, procedures and requirements of the donor.

This is done by;
• Examining the individual program’s financial statements
• A review of accounting procedures and the system of internal accounting controls.
• Performing testes of compliance with the requirements of the applicable laws and regulations
